Education Ministry
For this week?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s article, I wanted to point out an opportunity for Christian growth that is suitable for individual study. It is not always possible to have just the right course available at the time you would like to have it, therefore internet opportunities can sometimes be excellent choices. www.christiancourses.com is maintained by the same people who publish the popular devotional, Our Daily Bread.
The following are selections from this website:

10 Reasons to Believe God Became a Man
Jesus Christ continues to be one of the most controversial people in history. Few people have much of a problem as long as he is portrayed as a kindly moral teacher. But his biblical claim to be God is often met with strong opposition and disbelief. "10 Reasons to Believe God Became a Man" will examine the evidence, including Jesus' claims, eyewitness accounts, fulfilled prophecy, miraculous signs and other sources.
SoulCare Foundations 101: The Basic Model
Instructor: Dr. Larry Crabb, NewWay Ministries
This course is designed to help you enter people?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s interior lives at a meaningful level and make a lasting difference as they deal with life?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s struggles and crises. Some people call this type of help ?¢‚Ǩ?ìcounseling.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Others call this help ?¢‚Ǩ?ìpastoring.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù And perhaps others think of this kind of involvement as what one friend does for another friend. Larry Crabb uses the word SoulCare, with its focus on the inner life, where we become who we were intended and long to be.
Technology can be a tremendous tool for each of us to grow spiritually. This is an example that allows a student to work through a course of study or an individual class. If it is difficult to get to discipleship classes on our church campus, there are still many opportunities available. Consider enrolling with a friend or two so that you have someone with whom you can discuss the material.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15 In Christ, Verlin
