Music Ministry
?¢‚Ǩ?ìNow the Lord is a Spirit; and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV) In other words the Presence of the Lord brings freedom. This in not a new concept to us as Christians but I believe that we still have not grasped the full meaning of freedom in Christ. When God sent His son to die on a cross His sacrifice brought us freedom from all of the things that Satan would try to throw at us. He gave us freedom from oppression, freedom for sin, freedom from depression, freedom from things of this world that would bring us down. He gave us freedom for the opinions and thoughts of the world around us and tells us we ?¢‚Ǩ?ìmust worship in Spirit and in truth.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù John 4:24b (NIV) Jesus?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ sacrifice brought a new covenant and we are no longer kept from the presence of the Lord, because the new covenant brought down the veil. But we are invited into the Holy of Holies to worship Him, and it is in His presence that we experience true freedom.
Until we grasp the concept of living in the presence of God we will never experience true life changing freedom. And this presence is not just something that we have on Sunday mornings but we can have it all week long. We just have to desire it. The presence brings freedom and it brings holiness and makes us more like Jesus. The more time we spend in His presence the more we become like Him. We will undeniably be seen as children of God. It will be like Moses after he came down from the mountain after forty days with God. His face showed that he had been in the presence of the Lord.
I challenge you this week to seek the Lord and let us come into the house of the Lord and worship Him in the freedom that He has given us. Lanny
