Music Ministry
I am glad that it is finally summer and it is hot. I know that all of you parents out there are glad, too, because that means that your children are out of school for the summer and you can finally take that much needed vacation. I would like to encourage you to not get too far away from church this summer. Just because it is vacation time does not mean that it is vacation time from God and church. Just as you would urge your children to continue throughout the summer to learn and prepare themselves for the following year of school, we must also continue to learn about God and draw closer to Him.
It has been a good year here in the church so far. I am very proud of the Children?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Choirs. They have done such a wonderful job this year. I also would like to thank the choir teachers and all of the many helpers that work on Wednesday evenings. I am also very proud of the Youth Choir and Praise Band. They have come so far this year. And the great thing about the Praise Band is that they will be together for a couple more years so they will only get better. You should be very proud of the children and youth in this church. We have some very talented students.
I am also excited to share that this summer the Youth Praise Band will be leading worship for the teams that come in to work for Ocoee Outreach during the week of July 9. Please remember our youth in your prayers. They are the next generation of leaders in our church. God bless, Lanny
