Music Ministry
What a great job the drama team did on Sunday. I am very excited about the implementation of this important ministry to our worship services. I am also excited to see the ways we can use this ministry to reach the lost of our community. Great Job Drama Team! We are currently working on our drama for Christmas. That's right. I said Christmas. Before you know it we will be in the middle of the Christmas rush. Halloween is behind us, Thanksgiving will come and go, and Christmas will be here soon. As usual we have a very busy Christmas schedule. Be sure to read the Evangel next week to see all of the holiday events as we publish our special edition Evangel.
I am always excited to see Christmas come, to get to spend time with the family, the time off for vacation, and the ushering in of a new year. This year is a special Christmas for me because it will be the first Christmas that Leah and I will spend together as a married couple. We have been talking most recently about family traditions and what each of our families do for Christmas. It has been neat getting to hear what her family does to celebrate the holidays. Each of our families do different things to honor God and to thank Him for the sacrifice of sending His son as a helpless baby. We have also been talking about establishing our own family traditions and what we would like to do with our new family and some day our children. In your family, I would like to encourage you this Christmas to implement one or more traditions that honor Jesus' coming to earth to bring us hope, peace, and salvation. You can read the Bible story of our Saviors' birth, sing worship songs to Him, attend special worship services as a family, etc. Because after all Jesus is the reason for the season.
God Bless, Lanny
