Music Ministry

Matthew 9:37-38 "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send workers into his harvest field."

I have recently been reading a book called "Comeback Churches" that has been challenging my walk as a Christian and as a minister of the gospel (which in case you didn't know we are all ministers of the gospel, not just those of us who are paid on staff.) This scripture was a very small but powerful section of this book. It talked about praying this scripture. I have heard the concept of praying scripture all my life, and have on many occasions practiced this powerful tool, but I had never before thought about praying this verse. All around us there are lost and unchurched people that need to hear the gospel message. The harvest is truly plentiful but there are very few laborers. I have begun weaving this scripture into my personal prayer life and ask you to do the same. Please join me in asking the Lord of the harvest to send more workers into the harvest field so that we can see the lost won to Christ and see them freed from their prison of sin.
