Music Ministry

Posted on March 20, 2008 ...

Thank you so much for coming and supporting the choir for our program Sunday night. Thank you choir - what a wonderful job you did. What a blessing you are!

I am so excited about this Sunday and celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus with my church family. Christmas is a joyous occasion to celebrate the birth of Christ which began Jesus' journey on this earth, but oh how much more exciting is it to celebrate the resurrection. From Jesus' resurrection we gained freedom from oppression, freedom from bondage, salvation, and redemption from our sins. It makes me more excited than I can stand. Some may call it emotionalism but I call it joy. I have joy that overwhelms me and it makes me want to shout and dance to celebrate. I have been redeemed and set free from the bonds of sin, and I am going to celebrate it. Will you celebrate with me, or will you keep silent and let the rocks cry out in your place? For God is going to be praised whether it be from us or nature, because He said in Luke 19:40, "If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." The "they" He was talking about there is us, His Children, if we keep silent the very rocks will cry out, because God commands His creation to praise Him. I don't know about you but there will not be any rocks crying out in my place. Let the rocks keep silent while we praise our Almighty Creator and Redeemer. Will you celebrate with me?
God Bless, Lanny
