This week Keri Murphy completes her duties as our part-time Staff-Membership Secretary. Keri has served us well in editing our weekly newsletter, creating PowerPoint presentations for worship, keeping our membership database updated, and a wide variety of other office duties. I deeply appreciate Keri’s work on our church’s behalf and wish her well as she concentrates on completing her college degree in May and planning her wedding in July.
Our personnel committee has asked that we not fill this office position and
redistribute the duties between existing staff and volunteers. Thus, we are in the process of reassigning responsibilities and recruiting volunteers. Would you
be interested in volunteering in the church office? Telephone and light clerical work is necessary. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software would be a plus. Most of all, we need volunteers who will serve consistently during a certain block of time each week. (For example: every Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until noon) If you are willing to help in the office on a regular basis, please give me a call.
Our Fall Family Portrait Season has reached its halfway point. Our times together have been fun and fulfilling. With the turn of the calendar into October, we are continuing to offer several events for the entire church family. As in all items, participation is the key. Note these upcoming events on your calendar as we share in worship and ministry.
