This Sunday you will notice four strands of light illuminated on our Lottie Moon Christmas Tree. Our first full Sunday of emphasis brought our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering receipts to over $8,600.00! We are off and running! Remember, our goal is to receive $20,000.00 by December 24! Did you know that Lottie Moon died on December 24, 1912? It would be a fitting tribute to her legacy to complete our goal by the anniversary of her eternal homecoming. I pray that you will experience the joy and excitement of giving a significant and sacrificial gift to Jesus through the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. As you consider your gift, ponder these questions: » Is my gift to the Lord the largest gift I give during the Christmas Season?
» How does my gift compare to my spending on other Christmas items such as holiday travel, parties, and Christmas decorations?
» Does my gift show that I care for the eternal more than the material? I challenge each North Cleveland Baptist family to consider a MINIMUM gift of $100.00. And there are many families who can and should do much more.
God’s desire is that all people hear the message of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. He calls on us as followers of Jesus to join Him in completing this task. There is good news. Record numbers of new missionaries are going into places of ministry overseas. The International Mission Board leaders expect as many as nine hundred new missionaries to be commissioned in 2005! Past giving allows these missionaries to go. Current giving enables them to remain on the mission field where God has called them. Strong mission giving is an example of our church practicing one of the things that we do best! Let us press on to complete the task before us!
