After the close of the worship Service this Sunday night, our church will hold a Special Business Meeting to consider the adoption of our proposed 2006 church budget. This proposal is the result of extensive development occurring over the past two months. Special thanks to the many individuals and committees that contributed to this process. Here are a few features of the 2006 proposed budget for North Cleveland Baptist Church.
In order to move our operating budget closer to our current level of contributions, the 2006 proposed budget is about $5,000.00 less than our current operating budget.
Fully funding the 2006 budget will require a 5% increase over our projected total 2005 budget giving.
New items in our 2006 budget include funds for college ministries, staff anniversaries, and several local ministry organizations.
The proposed budget includes various compensation increases for church personnel.
While the overall percent of our budget designated for missions decreases from 22% to 19%, the 2006 budget proposal includes an incentive clause stating that over 40% of all the budget gifts received above and beyond our 2006 budget goal of $583,289.00 be designated for mission work.
Copies of the proposed budget were available this past Sunday and will also be available this Sunday. As always, I welcome your questions.
The adoption of a budget is a statement of vision, faith, and accountability. It is a key step in the ministry of any congregation. Your participation is encouraged and needed!
