Pastor's Page

Posted on January 10, 2006 ...

If you do much work or shopping online you know that many websites and online businesses offer to send you their regular free email newsletter. While I admit that I receive several newsletters for pastors via email, I use great discretion in giving out my email address lest I become bombarded with SPAM.

However, there is one email subscription I wholeheartedly endorse. That is, the email to the updated North Cleveland Baptist Church website. For several years Lacy Goins Tite has served as our church's webmaster. Lacy has graciously and generously contributed many hours of valuable time providing us a top-notch website. Recently Lacy taught our office staff how to update information on the website and how to send notification of these updates to those in our email address book.

Each week we send approximately 500 copies of our church newsletter through the U.S. Postal service. One way to help us reduce the ever increasing cost of postage is for homes in our church to volunteer to no longer receive "The Evangel" through regular mail. The identical information published in our printed "Evangel" is now posted on our website every Tuesday afternoon. If you routinely communicate through email, will you consider removing your name from our postal mailing list and instead receive a weekly email when the church website is updated? Not only will you save the church some postage funds, you will also receive the same information several days ahead of the time it would take for you to get the printed "Evangel."

You can indicate your willingness to help in this way by marking the space provided on Sunday's worship registration form or by calling the church office (or you can join the mailing list in a few clicks here » ). Thanks in advance to all those who assist in this manner. Jay
P.S. You're always welcome to

Hanging of the Green
6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30
Hanging of the Green is a worship service centered around the songs and symbols of the Holiday Season. As the Sanctuary is decorated with sights and sounds, worshipers see how candles, greenery, poinsettias, manger scenes, and other objects become part of our Christmas traditions.
