THIS IS THE CHURCH AT ITS BEST!
That is an expression I find myself using on those special occasions when I see the North Cleveland Baptist Church family working sacrificially together toward a significant accomplishment. This past Lord?「どィび「s Day was one of those times. What a unique and exciting day we shared last Sunday in our Celebration of Generations. Gathering all of us in one place at one time to worship and fellowship is a rare and rewarding experience. Contributions from so many people made it possible.
Special thanks goes to Lanny Green, Sherry Spangler, and Sherri?「どィび「 Littrell for their leadership in making arrangements. Others giving assistance included Jeff Elliott, John Mark Moore, Nathan Brown, Stephanie Valadez, Wayne & Jo Miller, our Baptist Men organization, and a whole host of greeters, servers, ushers, and other volunteers. What a beautiful scene results when so many members of the Body of Christ take their places of responsibility and work together.
Where do we go from here? Our next step is to follow up with people who were unable to attend last Sunday?「どィび「s event or who were not yet ready to turn in a Commitment Card. In the same way that having the Celebration of Generations required the participation of many people, so also will the accomplishments of our facility goals require the contributions of our entire church body.
If you have not yet turned in a Commitment Card indicating your prayerfully resolved intentions for giving to our For a Future Generation fund, please do so by Friday, May 11. Blank cards can be picked up and submitted in our church office or in either the Vestibule or Welcome Center.
On Sunday morning May 13 we will announce and celebrate the total commitments to For a Future Generation. I pray that every church family will be a part of this demonstration of THE CHURCH AT ITS BEST.
