My deep appreciation goes to all of the people who helped make our 70th Anniversary such a wonderful time of memories, fellowship, worship, and challenge. Special thanks goes to the people who shared such heartfelt testimonies, to the ladies who covered so many of our arrangements, and to our Baptist Men for tirelessly working on our amphitheater. Everyone who shared in the day was richly blessed.

If you were not able to be present, or if you would simply like a keepsake of this special day, our office has created a two DVD set that features our Worship Celebration as well as some of the day's other festivities. They are available at cost ($2.00). Simply call the church office to order a set.

This gives me the opportunity to note that we recently acquired the necessary equipment to easily record and duplicate DVDs of our church services. For many years, we routinely have created audio recordings of our worship services. These cassettes and CD's have allowed some of our homebound members who cannot be here in person to listen to our services. I am excited that we can now provide a video recording to these precious souls. My prayer is that visual recordings through DVDs will give them a more vivid experience of our worship times and enhance their sense of connection to our church.

If you or someone you know would benefit from receiving these recordings, please contact our church office. We would also welcome any volunteers who will help deliver these DVDs to our homebound saints. Some thought also is being given toward providing streaming videos and podcasting of our worship services through our church website.

This Sunday night, I am beginning a Sunday evening series of sermons on Spiritual Gifts. Every Christian has some God-given abilities that he or she possesses for the purpose of serving the Lord through His church. I invite all of you to participate as we study how God has designed the body of Christ to work together. Jay
