      One of the avenues of missions in our church is the presence of Chris and Lori Heil's service as career missionaries in Brazil. In case you do not know, Chris and Lori spent their teenage years as part of our church family. Lori's parents, Ed and Shirley Boring, are active NCBC church members with Shirley serving on our office staff. In years past, teams from our church have gone to Brazil on short-term mission experiences to assist in their ministry.
      I recently received an invitation to our church from Chris and Lori to consider bringing an evangelism team of 5 to 10 people to work with him in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia. The primary work of the team would be witnessing (with translators) door to door and in public areas. The evenings would feature evangelistic impact events such as paint talks, testimonies, and showing an evangelistic movie about the life of Jesus. Team members need to be capable of sharing their personal testimony and presenting a basic Gospel presentation. Participants will receive training in these skills in the weeks leading up to departure. The hotel accommodations will be comfortable and the meals will be enjoyable.
     This mission trip would take place in either September or early October of this year and cover 8 or 9 days. I will host an information meeting about this trip Sunday night after our evening worship time. I will share some further materials and talk about the cost of this trip.
     If you think you may be interested in participating, please attend Sunday night's meeting. If you cannot make this gathering, please call or email me and I will send you the same information I give out Sunday evening. Please contact me as soon you can. I need to assess quickly regarding our capacity to put together this team.
     So, are you ready for a Godly adventure? A mission trip of this nature will change your life and perspective unlike any other type of experience. Prayerfully ask the Lord if He would like you to be a part of this effort.
