Student Ministry

Posted on November 12, 2003 ...

You’ve heard a lot about the coming In-treat, now it’s time for details. The most important thing to know is that it will begin on November 21st and end on the 22nd. The Theme is H.O.W., which stands for the Heart of Worship. Our special guest will be Greg Jackson, student ministry associate at First Baptist Church Trussville, AL. He is an outstanding worship leader, intriguing Bible teacher, and one of my best friends. You will be blessed for having met him.

Here is a schedule of events:

Friday
6:00 pm Load up vans for the Moore Farm
6:30 pm Arrive at Moore Farm, here we will have a time of worship around the campfire, roast hotdogs and eat other goodies, and have a good old fashion hayride
10:00 pm Return to church and head home
Saturday
9:30 am Come back to church for doughnuts, milk, and juice
10:00 am Worship Session #2
11:00 am Fun Time with football, Finding Nemo, and X-box
12:30 pm Lunch
1:00 pm Mega Game (Video Scavenger Hunt)
3:30 pm Game Over, winners determined, and awards ceremony
4:00 pm Worship Session #3
5:30 pm Dinner (Pizza)
6:30 pm Closing Ceremonies, the First Ever In-treat is over!!!

The cost of the H.O.W. In-treat is $10 bucks. I wanted to keep it cheap so everyone could participate. Also, if any student brings a friend not from NCBC, they can come for free. If you are going to come to the In-treat, and if you are bringing a friend, I’ll need to know by no later than 4:30 pm Thursday, November 20.

Some things I need from parents or other volunteers are 4 to 5 handheld video cameras, 4 drivers/camera operators for our video scavenger hunt, and food helpers at lunch and dinner. Anyone who wants to come and hang out is welcomed. It’s going to be a fun weekend and I have a feeling we’ll learn a lot about the Heart of Worship too!
