Student Ministry
2004 is here already and I can hardly believe it. It seems like 2003 just flew by. There are some great perks to flipping over the calendar to a new year. For example, we get an opportunity to start over in many areas. Students in school have a whole new semester before them where they can excel and move beyond the previous year. Here at church, while we remember the events of the past year with fondness, we move forward into new arenas and tackle new challenges. With a new year come new opportunities.
Our pastor has laid out a very challenging and exciting plan for 2004. I am encouraged by the thought of how our church will change, for the better, if we allow God to use us in the fulfillment of the pastor’s ambitious plan. But that is the key- we have to do something. We cannot sit by idly. We must trust God for the results, but we must do our part by participating, encouraging others, and praying diligently. I have no doubt that God is going to do some new and exciting things at North Cleveland Baptist Church in 2004.
This is going to be a great year. Remember, like turning over the pages of a calendar signifies a new start, fresh starts are available with our God. Remember the words of the Psalmist, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). Our God is a God of grace and forgiveness. All we have to do is ask for it and we will receive it. Seek God’s grace in 2004 and you won’t be disappointed.
