Student Ministry
It’s getting to be that time of year again. Disciple Now is just around the corner. The dates for D-Now are March 19-21. The theme is yet to be determined, but don’t worry… the youth council and I are hard at work on that. Our speaker will be Joel Reynolds. He is the Student Minister at Red Bank Baptist Church and great friend. He is a veteran of the Centrifuge program, speaking at camps in South Carolina, California, Mexico and other places. I know you’ll love him, his sense of humor, and the message he brings. Our worship leader is Chad Lewis. Chad is an old college buddy of mine. I can honestly say I’ve never met a more selfless person. He is currently touring with his new CD and we are lucky to have him for our D-Now. You’ll be blessed by his music and his unique personality.
As always, for this D-Now to happen, I’m going to need some help. From parents and other members of the church, I need you to volunteer your residence as a “host home.” I will need between six and ten homes, so please call the church and let us know if you’re interested in this ministry. From the students, I need you to sign up. I’m going to have a poster in the Youth Room for you to sign up and I’ll send a registration form to your home. I also need you to tell your friends. The cost is $30 before March 1 and $40 after March 1, so sign up early.
I am looking forward to this so much. I know it’s going to be a great weekend. But I also know there are miles to go before we get there and much planning yet to do. If you as parents or students have any more questions please call the church at 476-8524 and we’ll be glad to answer them for you.
