Student Ministry

Posted on April 14, 2004 ...

It’s finally here! If you are reading this before Saturday, then I’m not married yet and I could probably use your prayers right about now. However, if you are reading this after Saturday then I’m already married, in a much calmer state, and on my Honeymoon. Joni and I are so excited about the wedding and even more excited about living here and being involved in the life of this church as a couple. We value your prayers and support as we begin our life together. We also ask that you try not to hold a grudge against us, as we’ll be spending next week together in Hawaii!

Once I get all of this wedding stuff behind me it’ll be time to start looking toward the summer. We’ve got some great things planned that will help grow our group closer to the Lord. As we approach the summer there are a few details to be ironed out. First is the Amber Cannon Scholarship. Please have every piece of that application filled out by April 30. Anything received after the deadline will disqualify the entire application, so make sure you have all your references and various components of the application completed by April 30. Second is the senior trip. When I return from the Honeymoon we’ll fully plan that trip. Until then just hold tight.

You won’t be seeing me until April 26. At that point I’ll have my new bride with me and we’ll be ready to go full steam toward the summer. Hope to see many of you at the wedding on Saturday.

Hanging of the Green
6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30
Hanging of the Green is a worship service centered around the songs and symbols of the Holiday Season. As the Sanctuary is decorated with sights and sounds, worshipers see how candles, greenery, poinsettias, manger scenes, and other objects become part of our Christmas traditions.
