Student Ministry

One of the great surprising joys of my job for has been to see the wonderful relationship shared between our students and the students of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. Last week they came over to our church for Wednesday night worship. We called it a ��Family Reunion�� because we have gone to camp with each other for the past few summers. It��s just great to be in an environment of love and encouragement, rather than strife and competition. The Bible says in Psalm 133:1, ��How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!�� That is the way we live and it truly is a joy.

I want to use the rest of this column to give you more information about some of the events that are coming up in the Student Ministry this fall. Senior High guys, mark October 24 on your calendar. That is the day we will go out to eat together for our fellowship lunch. For the Senior High girls the date for their fellowship lunch will be October 31.

Everyone also needs to mark October 27 on his or her calendars because that is our next PIZZA NIGHT! This will be a special night because we will also have a costume contest. The individual with the best costume will get a great prize. Be thinking ahead about what you will wear and invite your friends.
