Student Ministry

Posted on January 14, 2005 ...

Happy New Year! Now that 2005 is here, I wanted to pass along some important dates and information to you for the new year. The first item on the agenda is Disciple Now 2005. The dates for this year’s D-Now are February 25-27 and the cost will be $30. I have put before our group a goal of 40 students at Disciple Now this year and I feel like we can easily make this goal. I hope you will mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend or be involved in some capacity.

The next two dates I want to pass along are for Summer Camp and Mission Trip. Summer Camp will again be in Panama City at Laguna Beach and the dates are June 27-July 1. The cost for camp will be determined as we draw nearer to it. Our mission trip this year will again be through World Changers and we are going to Smithfield, NC. Smithfield is about 45 minutes outside of Raleigh, NC. The dates for Mission Trip will be July 16-23. The cost also will be determined as we get closer to the date. Please mark these important dates on your calendar and make plans to be there.

I want to remind students and let parents know that next Monday, January 17, since there is no school we will be having a special event. It is called Destination Unknown. Of course I know where we are going, but it’s a secret to everyone else. Just be at the church by 11:00 am next Monday with enough money to buy lunch at a sit down place (about $10 will do). We will be back to the church around 5:00 pm. See you Sunday!

DON'T FORGET ...

JANUARY 17: Destination Unknown
JUNE 27 - JULY 1: Summer Camp in Panama City
