This is the last chance I have to write in the Evangel before Disciple Now, so I want to use this space to give you all the information you will need for D-Now ’05. The dates are February 25-27 and the cost is $40. If you want to invite someone and they are not involved in a church, your friend can come for free. If you have any problems coming up with $40 contact me and we will work something out. Don’t let money keep you from D-Now.

The theme this year is ENCOUNTER: Listen, Pray, Obey. We will be learning about different people who had encounters with God and how it changed their lives. The goal of Disciple Now this year (and every year) is for you to have an encounter with God and for your life to be changed. Our goal is to have 40 students come this year and we are over half way there so keep up the good work and continue to sign up!

You will need to arrive at the church at 6:00 pm (eat before you come) on Friday night. We will kick off the weekend with worship and then you will meet your groups and go to your houses. Saturday there will be more Bible study sessions at your homes and worship at church, as well as some free time in the afternoon. During that free time, and other times in the weekend, you will need to come up with a skit for your group because on Saturday night at 7:00 pm we will have the Skit Showdown! That’s going to be awesome. Finally, Sunday morning will begin with our traditional breakfast from some of our men in our church (which is always incredible) and we’ll close the day out with worship together with the whole church.

You will need to bring a Bible, pen, enough clothes for the weekend, personal toiletries, a towel, a sleeping bag and pillow, a two-liter drink of your choice, a favorite box of cereal, a snack to share with the group, and enough money for dinner out on Saturday night with your group at the place of your choice. Please do not bring any of the big “no, no’s” like guns, drugs, alcohol, tobacco products of any kind, and fireworks. Also leave your CD players, I-Pods, Gaming devices, and cell phones at home. I ask this to limit distractions and to help enhance your opportunity to have an encounter with God.
