Student Ministry
Calling all 7th and 8th graders! This Sunday, September 11, is your fellowship lunch at the restaurant your class has chosen- Red Lobster. We will leave after the 11:00 a.m. service and will be back around 3:00 p.m. Don't miss this opportunity to hang out together and to get to know your Sunday School teachers better.
The Senior High girl's class will be next. Their fellowship lunch is September 18, followed by the Senior High guys on September 25. Mark these dates on your calendar and be there for these fun times of getting to know each other better and good food.
Also, don't forget to get your Youth Council applications. They are due Sunday, September 11. Remember, I would like to have a guy and a girl representative for each grade. The youth council will help plan events for the upcoming year and will also help in developing themes for D-Now, Summer Camp, and Fall Retreat. I hope you will be a part of this cool opportunity to be involved with our student ministry.
I would also ask that you all would pray for the people of New Orleans. Especially remember Canal Boulevard Baptist Church and Lakeview Baptist Church, the churches where I grew up.
