Student Ministry
I remember it well. It was about twelve years ago. I was a sophomore at Bartlett High School. It was a cold, dark morning, but over a hundred students were there. Why were they there? To pray. What was the event? The first See You at the Pole I ever attended. This stands out in my memory so vividly because it was the first time I made that kind of declaration of my faith at my high school.
This past week hundreds of students at all of our local schools have made the same declaration. It's a declaration of dependence upon God for wisdom, strength, guidance, courage, and grace. See you at the pole is a time where students step forward without shame and say, ?¢‚Ǩ?ìI believe and I trust in God.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Many of our own students made this declaration at their schools and at the events that surrounded See You at the Pole this week.
Remember that this Sunday our Senior High boys will be having their fellowship lunch at Kanpai of Tokyo. They should be home around 3:00 p.m. Also, look for more details concerning our fall retreat coming at the end of October. It's going to be a great time of growth and fellowship. The cost is $30 and sign-ups begin this Sunday.
