Student Ministry
This year I have been conducting an experiment. I decided to take our students to the Youth Evangelism Conference for the first time in many years. With YEC falling at the beginning of March, I had to change the usual date for our Disciple Now weekend, traditionally at the end of February, in order to not have two major events virtually back to back. In some ways I consider this experiment a success. YEC was great and if our students want to go again, we will.
However, I have had trouble with finding a good date for Disciple Now. I sent everyone a flyer earlier in the year that had a date for D-Now on it. I want you to disregard that date. Due to many unforeseen conflicts it has been changed, once and for all, to APRIL 28-30, 2006. While there are some conflicts with this date, it is going to have to work.
Our theme for Disciple Now this year is ?¢‚Ǩ?ìInside Out.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù We will be focusing on living purely both on the inside and on the outside. I am currently enlisting help for host homes, group leaders, musicians, and a speaker. Some of these things I have already found. Others I am still looking for. If you are interested and willing to host a group at your home, I am in need of a couple more homes. For those of you that have already volunteered I appreciate it very much.
I am looking forward to Disciple Now 2006. The cost is going to be $40, so sign-up and pay up a.s.a.p. In the next couple of weeks I will be sending an informational brochure to all of our student?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s homes with more details, so be on the lookout for that. --Kyle
