DNOW WEEKEND UPDATE

It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s been a crazy week around here at NCBC, especially with the Student Ministry! We just finished up ourDiscipleNOW weekend and it was a huge success! Here are some of the highlights: 10 host families opened up their homes for more than 60 middle school and high school students for the weekend with several co-hosts assisting the host families. Guest leaders from as far as Charleston, SC came to lead our students in Bible study for the weekend. Our students participated in mission projects on Saturday and also went through our prayer labyrinth called ?¢‚Ǩ?ìThe KNEEL Experience.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Saturday evening, David Tucker led our worship time and many of the students performed skits about ?¢‚Ǩ?ìPower?¢‚Ǩ¬ù.
There were so many people who helped this weekend. I will try to name them all (please forgive me if I leave someone out). Host homes were John & Peggy Millet, Chuck & Tammy Brown, Jerry & Nina Barrow, Michael & Jackie Rumble, Terry & Renee Morrow, Sam & Patsy Bettis, Don & Sherri?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ Littrell, Hal & Stacy Taylor, Sarah Beth & Cara Weeks, and Lib Blackwell. Co-hosts were Scott & Jeanne Franklin, Jim & Carolyn Goins, Jessica Mason, Amanda Martin, Janie Ziegler and Dawn Blackwell. Our guest leaders were Lauren Moskos, Charleston SC; Michelle Jacques, Charleston SC; Leah Box, Cleveland TN; Becky DuBose, Chattanooga TN; Sheron Brand, Cleveland TN; Brian Scalise, Johnson City TN; Will Hutchinson, Chattanooga TN; Michael DuBose, Chattanooga TN; Craig Long, Cleveland TN; and Justin Ownby, Cleveland TN. Many others like Janelle Martin, Melissa Clayton, Nick Mason, and the Adult Men?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Sunday School Class played a major part in the weekend. Finally, none of this would happen without the student ministry staff & volunteers. Emily, John, Dawn, Nolan, Richard, Sarah Beth and Stephanie?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ how you all put up with me I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll never understand, but I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll always be thankful for it.
